When it comes to choosing brands of footwear to carry, we don’t take the decision lightly. We consider how current the styles are, the diversity of options, and of course, quality of craftsmanship. A brand new season of footwear has just landed, and we can’t wait to show you.
Here’s what’s new in footwear at The Helm this season.
Magnanni Hand Crafted Shoes
There’s a reason we always carry a healthy selection of Maganni shoes. Each pair is hand made in Spain by shoemakers who have dedicated their entire lives to their craft. They source only the highest grade leather from tanneries in Italy, France, and Spain, and each shoe is hand finished. Their designs are timeless yet current, so with proper care, your shoes can last you years.
This season we’ve got an all-new selection of high-end sneakers from Magnanni, including a stunning new shade of navy leather. Magnanni is also setting the trend with a slightly rounded toe on their dress shoes, which is a contemporary look.
What we’re really loving this season though is the slip-on loafer. It’s easy going yet dressy, and can be worn with nearly everything.
Brunello Cucinelli’s Luxury Footwear
Brunello Cucinelli’s footwear is crafted with the same care and attention to detail as their clothing is. Not necessarily extravagant, but the best. Their footwear has a subtle wow factor that almost needs a double-take to recognize.
This season we have curated a selection of Brunello Cucinelli footwear that represents the laid back elegance of the spring and summer. They really capture casual sartorial style, with elevated leather sneakers and immaculate brogues. Their Low Boot is impossibly soft (we mean it--you have to feel these) and it looks sharp with both casual attire and suits.
New Balance’s Boundary-Pushing Sneakers
New Balance is always pushing the boundaries of footwear. They’re constantly reinventing themselves, from the tech they use to the styles they create, while still staying true to their roots. They’ve been crafting footwear for over 100 years, and they currently stand as the only athletic shoe producer still making shoes in the USA.
From the classic silhouette of their 574s to the technical features on the x90s, New Balance knows sneakers. They are right in the middle of sartorial and streetwear, producing shoes that every generation can appreciate.
