Our Helm Collection suits and sport jackets have had a bit of a refresh this season, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out.
It’s all still made in Canada, but the fit is better than ever, the fabrics are among the best in the world, and we are loving the textures and tones that this season is bringing in. Here are a few of our favourite features.
Well balanced, contemporary fit
The fit of our Helm Collection suits and sport jackets strikes the perfect balance between classic and modern. The body is slim but not skinny, so it’s appropriate for any age group and won’t go out of style.
The jackets feature a semi-roped shoulder, which creates a bit of structure without looking stiff and bulky. The sleeve falls naturally off the shoulder for an easygoing sartorial appearance.
The arm holes also sit slightly high, allowing room for movement while maintaining a fitted appearance.
Amazing fabrics
The fabrics we’ve chosen for this season’s Helm Collection suits and sport jackets are incredible. All Italian-made by some of the best mills in the world, these fabrics stand out against the crowd in all the best ways. Here are a few standouts in this season’s collection.
Loro Piana Silk Air Fabric
The sport jacket we've featured in this article is constructed using Loro Piana's Silk Air fabric, which is a wool, silk, and cashmere blend. We love that has a seasonal texture to it while still being lightweight. The overcheck is navy and royal blue with a subtle berry tone running through it, which creates a beautiful dimension.
Ermenegildo Zegna Wool/Silk/Cashmere Fabric
Another favourite fabric is this wool, silk, and cashmere blend by Ermenegildo Zegna, one of the best wool mills in the world. The quality is immediately evident with this fabric, and the deep plum hue is right on trend for the season.
Loro Piana Suri Alpaca Fabric
Loro Piana is known for their fabrics, and this is no exception. This is a beautiful brown boucle made from a blend of alpaca and wool. It's got a totally unique texture that makes it appropriate as an outerwear piece if you choose to wear it that way.
Designed and Produced in Canada
It's important to us that our own collection is Canadian-made (staying true to our roots!) with the same attention to detail that high-end Italian-made clothing is privy to.
The makers we have chosen have over 100 years of history producing men’s tailored clothing, and they do it extremely well.
Each suit goes through nearly 300 steps in the production process to create a piece that is meticulously and expertly crafted. A combination of modern technology and traditional techniques are used to ensure the best quality garments.
