Black is truly something that never goes out of style. It seems even more so that this 2023 spring season, black is making its mark. We have seen its absence for many years, and it is exciting to see its reintroduction into a season that is primarily pastels and light colours. However, we are mostly seeing this trend in our main luxury brands. Ralph Lauren Purple Label and Zegna have black in their rotation every season, but this season Brunello Cucinelli has introduced it for the first time in their history! There are so many ways to incorporate dark tones into your style. Check out our favourite ways to style this trend (that is hopefully here to stay.)
Ralph Lauren Purple Label
This outfit is one of our favourites for the pre-spring season. The corduroy trousers and cashmere cable knit are combined with light pops of colour and a contrasting black suede Barron overshirt. This leather is unique because this colour is exclusive to The Helm this season.
Zegna
A very true to brand look from Zegna. The linen twill overshirt looks great paired with a pop of colour and tailored denim.
Brunello Cucinelli
For the first time in the brand’s history, Brunello Cucinelli introduced black for spring 2023. This dark tone is contrasted with beige and off-white details to slide seamlessly into the collection.
Black is a staple in every wardrobe, but now we are seeing a stronger contrast then the typical lighter colour schemes we see in spring. We are embracing it and looking forward to seeing more of what is to come from the new arrivals rolling in!
