The Helm's Father Day Member Guest Event | Saturday, June 15, 2024 | 11 am to 4 pm
Join us in-store for golf-themed games, drinks, food and a chance to win a $1,500 gift card along with in-store credit!
The Helm’s 2nd Annual Member Guest event is an in-store golf-themed event with different golf games that allow you (the member) and your guest the opportunity to earn in-store credit and also give back to charity. Throughout the event, all players will accumulate points and the player with the most points at the end wins a $1,500 Helm gift card!
So, how do you participate?
Current shoppers of The Helm are simply asked to bring a guest they know would enjoy The Helm and playing some golf-themed games. RSVP by June 14th at the form at the bottom of this page or reach out to your sales specialist directly.
What to expect:
You and your guest arrive between 11 am and 4 pm on June 15th. You will enjoy food and drinks by El Corazon and participate in four golf themed games, where the winners will earn points and Helm store credits, the not-so-lucky will donate to KidSport Alberta. The Rules
The Objective:
Flip your golf tee over the first tee box to win up to $500 - everyone wins!
Game Overview:
Players will flip a golf tee over a round section of turf divided into four sections ranging in size. Each section is associated with a dollar amount ranging from $50 - $500. The section that the majority of their tee lands on will be the amount they are rewarded with on their Helm account.
Rules:
- Each player will toss their tee directly over the first tee box.
- Each player will be awarded an amount ranging from $50 - $500 based on the section of the turf the majority of their tee lands in.
- That value is added to that player's Helm account.

Each player will be given three wiffle balls and will attempt to chip them at three targets ranging in size and point value (like golf cornhole). The largest target is worth 100 points, the medium target is worth 250 points, and the smallest target is worth 500 points. Points from each attempt will accumulate.
Rules:
- Each player will be given three wiffle balls and will attempt to chip them at three targets varying in size and value from the designated distance.
- The largest target is worth 100 points, the medium target is worth 250 points and the smallest target is worth 500 points
- The points from each attempt will accumulate toward that player's score, up to 1500 points to be won!

The longest putt challenge gives players three attempts to putt from one of three pre-marked distances on a 24’ putting green for the chance to win up to 3000 points! The player with the most points after completing all Member Guest games will win a $1500 Helm gift card.

The 8’ mark is worth 250 points, the 14’ mark is worth 500 points and the 22’ mark is worth 1,000 points. Each player will choose their putting distance and will have three attempts to sink their putt. Points from all three putts will accumulate, with up to 3000 points to be won!

Side Wager for the Longest Putt
Help us in supporting KidSport Alberta!
In addition to points, players may choose to wager any donation amount up to $1000. The Helm will donate a percentage of that wager to KidSport Alberta and add that amount to the player's Helm account. The amount is dependent on the putting distance chosen.
Game Rules:
- Before the player begins, they will choose their putting distance and they will choose their wager amount
- Each player has three attempts, wagers DO NOT accumulate. Once a putt is sunk the game is complete.
- If the player makes their putt The Helm will donate a percentage of the wager to KidSport Alberta, and will also add that amount to the player's Helm account. The percentage is dependent on the putting distance chosen by the player.
- If the player misses all 3 attempts, they must donate the full amount of their wager.
- Value Breakdown:
- 8’ - 25% of the wager will be donated and added to their Helm account.
- 14’ - 50% of the wager will be donated and added to their Helm account.
- 22’ - 100% of the wager will be donated and added to their Helm account.

The players with the closest guess without going over will win their wager amount in points, while the players that are further from the correct answer or go over will lose their wager amount. - Prior to submitting their guess, the member and their guest will each choose their wager amount, in points. The wager amount cannot exceed the number of points the player already has.
- Players will each submit one guess of the value (pre-tax) of a complete outfit on a mannequin chosen by The Helm
- The player with the closest guess to the value without going over will win their wagered amount of points.
- The player that is further from the correct answer or goes over will lose their wagered amount of points
- If any player’s guess is within $100 of the value of the outfit (pre-tax) they will have that value amount added to their Helm account.
