Much of the fashion industry has been built off of the talents, labour, and creativity of Black people, just as so many industries are. We must not ignore the injustices they face.
This past week, we’ve spent some time reading, learning and having conversations about the Black Lives Matter movement and systemic racism in the United States, Canada, and abroad. Being able to reflect in this way is in itself an immense privilege.
We’re sharing some of the resources we’ve found helpful in learning about systemic racism, our role in it, and how we can change it. We hope you find them helpful too.
