Florence and Milan buy FW16February 4th, 2016
Once a season we head out and comb through some of the worlds finest menswear offerings, with the two focal cities during our travels being Milan and Florence. Here's a taste of what we were up to in January.
Day 1 in Florence at Pitti is always exciting. Everyone is dressed up to the nines and the the Fortezza is always packed.
No better place to test-drive some garments than the Gabriele Pasini booth. Gabriele (in the background) is always put together perfectly.
Luigi Bianchi Mantova FW16 was stunning. Their showing was focused on textures and true Italian tailored details.
After Pitti we trained up in to Milan, and the following morning we took in the Corneliani fashion show. Corneliani opens up Milan Fashion Week every year.
There's something about a Ferrari F355 that looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I had to stop for a photo.
There are a few lines that we could view in New York, but choose to see them in Milan and Florence. Alessandro Squarzi's showroom is one place we never miss out on. Keep your eyes peeled for his new line Fortela landing soon at The Helm.
We also paid a visit to the Gabriele Pasini showroom in Milan. It's wonderful to see the product shown exactly as the designers want it.
Il Duomo is stunning in the evening. The trip took a random turn when Brad realized the opera Rigoletto was playing at Alla Scala. It was a great afternoon after a long trip.
Overall the trip was perfect. We managed to seek out new product for the shop while enjoying ourselves along the way. Stay tuned for the new FW16 arrivals landing in September.
